My wrists still smell of cheddar (making time for Play)

Today I had a magic day.
It feels so good to be able to write that down.

Admittedly, it was the first time this year I have become intoxicated via the kiss of wine, but wine aside, innocent, simple fun steals my shoes and makes me smile.

I was invited, so sweetly ( and by surprise at midday), by my landlady to go and have lunch with her upstairs, with her daughter and her friends and their daughter.

It was bliss. Roasted veg, halloumi, squash soup and a cityscape of cheese, but the highlight was the GAMES!

After my landlady's guests left, she, her daughter and I played:

Ice down the neck
Ice down the bottom
Cushion fight *while* dancing
Dance contest (flamenco style)
Making cheese perfume
Mice and cheese olympics (with real cheese)
Guess the food from the smell- with brown sauce, pickle and honey being spread on arms and faces
and more pillow fights

It was the most out of mind time I have had in a long while, and beautiful to forget for a few hours what being an "adult" means. Pure, calamitous, super messy FUN.

I need to do this more often...
play.
Just play. Not think too much. Just do it. Whatever comes to mind.

At least once a day.

At least.
