Two in One. Two become One. One more for the road.

She was slightly blue last night. She took herself on a date to the cinema to try and love herself better. It worked, for the time she was sitting in the darkness, absorbed in beautiful people doing it with other beautiful people, and then getting their hearts fired down.

Then, into the early evening chill factor. Her coat could not keep her warm enough, she tried haplessly to pull it around herself tighter. No relief.
Couples were tinkling off to pubs and restaurants.  She was wondering where to put herself.

Slip slide home-
washing up, too much bleach in the bathroom, inhalation avoidance impossible.
Light headed, after limescale lotioning the shower hose- it's cream crust dissolving- not too dissimilarly from her resolutions, and resolve.

...

What a rain soaked day it is. Up early on a Saturday morning for a man who was going to pick up a printer-but he is not here, and my stomach is full of porridge made without milk (ran out), feeling slightly tragic, slightly not wanting to go to work today but knowing that when I go through those doors..."tonight Matthew- I'm going to be"...just fine.

Whatever happened to stars in their eyes?
Matthew Kelly...was that his name?
I always liked him- his beard. It was friendly *. He seemed like the sort of chap you could bump into at the supermarket and have a really good chinwag with,
in the cereal aisle,
how are the dogs keeping?

Oh, they're fab thanks Matthew-muffin is really coming along with his Michael Jackson routine- just you wait!

(I don't think I had enough sleep last night...it was an on/off kind of affair-hence the "humour").

Sunday could not come fast enough. The ship shape is waiting to take me on board. I cannot wait to go and see a room on a ship! A huge *red* ship!
Wow.
Still trying not to get my hopes up too much, but finding this quite hard. As you can see.

I ranted about a few things yesterday. Now, I feel I must balance out the hate by touching upon a few JOYS. A list of five for today...and without further ado-

1. Smiling at people in the street- a classic. Even better when they smile back but still makes me laugh when they don't.

2. Spring is just around the corner, and my O my, how happy I am about that. Daffodils, bunnies, cheap chocolate eggs and lighter evenings will all be *ours*.

3. Painting. Anything. Always.

4. Tenderness- the tenderness of friends, family and lovers. Not that I have a lover. Just to make that clear.

5. When you fall over and you don't break anything (bones mostly).

Well, there you have it. I know it's not really a GREAT joy list...but I had to try and come up with something on this very wet, very windy, trembling day.

8.22

Something tells me I need to get out into this damp,
and dry my day with smiles.
Lets hope for a pack of
humane
customers
shall we?

(OH! Forgot- there has to be a number 6 on the joy list! Ice skating tonight with my tender friends, on a tacky rink, with fake snow and disco lights! What could *be* more JOY than that?)

Adieu dearhearts. Thanks for listening.

Ill making image of the day (the top picture specifically).

* After looking for an image of Matthew Kelly I found out that he has been accused but not proved guilty of child molestation. This makes me rather unhappy. I am not sure he would therefore be the kind of person I would want to have a chat about my dogs with in the cereal aisle.
